Guilt ranging from the minor things, like I forgot to dress my son for school spirit week on Monday, to much larger ones. Ones that have kept me up at night. Like the fact that I wasn’t completely content and fulfilled being a SAHM. Don’t get me wrong, I love school pick up and drop off. I love knowing what the “caca song” is (and all the other things they make up). And I love snuggling with them when they don’t feel well in the middle of the day. But to be completely honest, I needed more.

I knew all of our dresses were going to be vintage inspired. Our classic girls dresses had vintage silhouettes with really feminine details, but were usually made in equally as girly fabrics. Unlike those actual vintage pieces though, ours would be made in fabrics that you wouldn't ever find in kids clothing, especially in girls dresses. The pieces we were creating were fresh and modern takes on those vintage silhouettes. We launched with 5 woven fabrics and 3 colors of an insanely soft tri-blend jersey for our loungewear. With Lily making every piece to order, we were able to save a significant amount of money starting out.

She brought some girls dresses that she had sewn and it was clear how much she loved it, but even better, how amazing of a seamstress she was! She loved my fabrics and the sketches I had my mom draw for me and that was that! I don't think we had even gotten our food before we agreed to go into business together.
